Apparently, We Network Better With Food

There was plenty of camaraderie, humor, support and food at Friday Morning at the Plano Chamber!

Christy Rivers with Gelu Italian Ice brought a vast array of delicious samples to enjoy. Tim Halls from Burnt BBQ & Tacos visited the Chamber with breakfast tacos and empanadas. Donuts? We had those too! Jim Warner from Cruise Planners brought the Friday morning staple.

With all this eating, you might wonder whether we accomplished anything. We did!

Sunil Malkani and Tiffany Moore from CareBuilders at Home presented the Five-Minute Spotlight. They are both compassionate people who genuinely care about helping families find solutions for aging loved ones.

Denise Holguin was also on track to win another drawing this week. Thank you to Sunil and Tiffany for the book The Ageless Brain!

Craig Barrows from Fully Promoted Plano delivered an enjoyable pitch. With his South African accent, he demonstrated how familiar words can be pronounced differently while still meaning the same thing.

He then turned the idea around: The same appreciation gift can mean something very different depending on who receives it. A pen might be appropriate for a new employee but giving that same pen to a longtime employee may not communicate the appreciation you intended. That is definitely food for thought.

Another Friday morning well spent—meeting new people, supporting fellow Chamber members and learning more about the businesses that serve the Plano community.
