Teachers work hard—managing their classrooms, delivering the day-to-day curriculum, grading assignments, and keeping children focused and engaged. The list goes on and on!

When the opportunity arose to offer a tangible “thank you” to teachers and staff in Josephine, we jumped on the bandwagon—or should we say, coffee cart?

That’s right! We partnered with our friends at Country Charm Coffee in Anna to provide everyone with a free coffee or hot chocolate. It was fun hearing the reactions after that first sip: “Oh, that’s good!”

Denise, Community Relations and Networking Coordinator, also handed out handmade cards to the teachers and staff. Seeing their reactions to the heartfelt cards was a joy.

But Denise wasn’t the only one handing out surprises! Two students presented her with a glow-in-the-dark rat and beetle—thoughtful gifts that were delightfully on-brand. 🐀🪲

Coffee, handmade cards and unexpected pest-themed presents—it was a wonderful morning celebrating the people who do so much for their students and community.
